How to Create a QR Code

WiFi QR codes
Guests can join a network by scanning instead of typing the password. The code includes the network name, security type, password, and whether the network is hidden.
WhatsApp QR codes

Email QR codes

Static vs Dynamic QR Codes
Static QR codes
A static QR code stores the content directly in the pattern. If you encode a URL, that exact URL is what the scanner reads. There is no redirect server, no account, and no expiration. The code keeps working as long as the destination still exists. The tradeoff is that you cannot change the destination after printing. QR Everything generates static codes in your browser.
Dynamic QR codes
A dynamic QR code points to a short redirect that you can update later. That makes it possible to change the destination, add scan counts, set an expiration date, or protect a link. Those features need a server and are planned for a later version of QR Everything. If you need a code that must stay editable after print, wait for dynamic codes or print a new static code when the destination changes.

Are QR codes free?
Yes. QR Everything lets you create and download static QR codes at no cost. Generation happens in your browser, and you can save PNG, SVG, or JPG files without creating an account.
Do QR codes expire?
Static QR codes generated here do not expire. The code stores the content itself, so it keeps working as long as the destination still exists. A printed website QR code will fail only if that URL changes or goes offline.
Do I need an account?
No. You can generate, customize, and download QR codes immediately. Nothing is uploaded to WordPress for a normal QR code.
Can I add a logo?
Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG, or WebP image and it is placed in the center of the QR code in your browser. Keep the logo small and use high error correction so scanners can still read the code.
Can I print my QR code?
Yes. Download a high-resolution PNG or SVG and print it on packaging, posters, menus, or business cards. Leave a quiet margin around the code and test it with a phone camera before a large print run.
Which QR format is best for printing?
SVG is best for print because it stays sharp at any size. Use PNG when you need a raster image for social posts or documents. JPG is useful when a smaller photo file is required, but PNG or SVG is preferred for scanning quality.
Can I edit a QR code after printing?
A static QR code cannot be edited after it is printed. If the destination needs to change later, you must generate and print a new code. Dynamic QR codes, which can point to a new URL after printing, are planned as a future feature.
